What Is the Pixelate Tool?
The Pixelate tool divides your image into uniform color blocks, each filled with the average color of that region, creating a mosaic or pixel-art effect.
Use large blocks to cover private details, or small blocks for a retro 8-bit style.
How to Pixelate an Image
Follow these steps:
- Drop or upload an image.
- Adjust the block size to control the pixelation level.
- Click Pixelate and preview the result.
- Download the result as a PNG file.
Tips
- 4–12px suits retro pixel art; 32px and above works for covering private details.
- For large images, resize first with the image resizer tool.
- Combine with edge detection for pixel-art outlines.
